TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Our terms and conditions are crucial as they outline the specific responsibilities for both parties during the moving process. WE ARE NOT COMMON CARRIERS AND ACCEPT NO SUCH LIABILITY.

1. While booking with us

We will need to know the details of your move, including what items you would like to transport and their destination. Based on this information, we will carefully plan the logistics, including selecting the appropriate vehicle, determining the necessary labor, and estimating the duration of the job. It's important to note that the estimate provided is just that—an estimate. While the items you mention during booking serve as a general guide for our team, it does not constitute a comprehensive inventory of all your belongings.

In order to secure your preferred time slot and allocate necessary resources, we may require a pre-deposit during the booking process. This deposit, which amounts to $30, confirms your reservation and will be deducted from the total payment at the end of the service day. It ensures that we can adequately prepare for your move and deliver a smooth and efficient experience for you. This payment can be made through bank transfer or via a secure link for credit card payment.

2. Cancellations / Changes

Our pre-deposit fee serves as a confirmation of your booking and is an integral part of our reservation process. If you cancel your booking within 24 hours, the pre-deposit fee is non-refundable. For cancellations made within 48 hours, a minimum administration fee of $25 will be applied.

This policy ensures that we can effectively manage our scheduling and allocate resources accordingly. It also helps us compensate for any inconvenience caused by last-minute cancellations. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our booking policies.

3. Packaging & Unpacking Services

For the safety and security of your belongings, we highly recommend engaging our professional packing and unpacking services. Not only does this minimize the risk of damage during transportation, but it also provides an ideal solution for those with limited time to handle packing tasks themselves.

Please be advised that our packing and unpacking services have minimum hourly requirements. For specific details, kindly inquire at the time of booking. Moreover, we offer a comprehensive selection of high-quality packing materials tailored to meet your individual needs. Don't hesitate to reach out to us for more information about our range of packing materials and how they can best serve your relocation needs.

4. Parking

Please note that parking arrangements are the responsibility of the customer. It is imperative that adequate parking space be provided whenever possible. In instances where legal parking is not available, customers will be required to assume responsibility and sign a parking waiver form.

Should any parking permits be required, it is the customer's responsibility to arrange for them prior to our arrival. Any parking fees incurred by our team or any fines received due to parking infringements will be added to the total cost of the service.

While our vehicles are permitted to use loading zones, it is essential to be mindful of any applicable time limits. Your cooperation in ensuring suitable parking arrangements will help facilitate a smooth and efficient moving process.

5. The moving

When conducting the 'walkthrough' with our team leaders, please inform us of any fragile items or special conditions and precautions you'd like us to take. As we do not maintain an itemized inventory of your belongings, we rely on your guidance at each location to ensure we handle all required items and nothing extra.

Occasionally, there may be additional items beyond what was initially discussed during the booking. While we always strive to accommodate such situations, there may be instances where time or space constraints prevent us from doing so. In such cases, we'll discuss alternative options to ensure all tasks are completed satisfactorily.

If circumstances beyond our control prevent us from delivering your goods, they will be returned to our depot. You will then be responsible for any re-delivery charges incurred. Rest assured, we'll make every effort to communicate with you promptly and explore alternative solutions to resolve the issue.

6.A -  Hourly Rate Conditions

The timing for your service starts upon our arrival at the first address and concludes upon the completion of payment at the final address. Please note that there is a minimum charge for every job, inclusive of the first 2 hours and travel to and from our depot. Subsequently, charges will be incurred in 15-minute increments. Additionally, for jobs exceeding 100km from our depot for both pick-up and drop-off locations, fuel levy charges will apply.

In certain circumstances, overtime charges may also be applicable. This typically pertains to moves occurring after 6pm or if the job extends beyond the initially estimated duration.

We aim to be transparent in our pricing structure and will always communicate any additional charges before proceeding with the service. Your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these terms are greatly appreciated.

6.B - Fixed Rate Conditions

The fixed price quote provided is contingent upon the items inspected on the day of assessment. Any additional items required beyond the initial inspection may incur an additional charge based on an hourly rate. In the event that your property has not been settled by the agreed start time, you may be subject to additional costs based on an hourly rate, up to the commencement of the load.

Should settlement not proceed as planned, you may also be liable for holding and storage costs. We strive to maintain transparency in our pricing and will communicate any additional charges promptly and clearly. Your understanding and cooperation regarding these terms are appreciated.

7. Payment

Payment in full is required at the conclusion of the job, as our working time extends until payment is finalized. We accept payment in cash, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express upon completion of the job.

Please note that a surcharge applies to credit card and debit card payments (2.0% for Visa and MasterCard, 3% for American Express). We do not accept cheques, and credit is not offered.

If payment cannot be made upon completion of the job, we may need to retain some of your goods as security until payment is received. In such cases, an additional charge will apply for storage and redelivery of the items. We appreciate your prompt payment and understanding of these terms.

8. Storage

When moving your furniture into a storage unit, it's important to take extra care of the small components that may come from your disassembled furnishings, such as nuts, bolts, and brackets. We recommend ensuring these items are securely stored and labeled for easy retrieval.

Additionally, please ensure adequate protection for your furniture by providing extra blankets and coverings. If necessary, we can supply these materials upon your direction; however, please note that an additional cost will apply.

Your attention to these details will help safeguard your belongings during storage and ensure a smooth transition.

9. Our Limitations

We want to inform you that we are not experts in disconnecting or installing white goods, electrical items, appliances, or their workings. While we are happy to assist upon request, we strongly recommend that you attend to these items personally before the move. It's important to note that we do not accept liability or responsibility for any damage that may occur during this process.

For the relocation of heavy items such as pool tables or pianos, a third person will be necessary, and an additional fee will be applied. Although our movers are well-trained, if they believe they are unable to move or dismantle anything safely, they have the right to refuse to do so. Alternatively, a damage disclosure agreement must be signed off prior to moving the items.

Your understanding of these policies is greatly appreciated, as they help ensure a safe and smooth moving experience for everyone involved.

10.Damaged items.

While we are very experienced movers and take utmost care during relocations, damages may occur from time to time. Please understand that we are not responsible for accidental damages incurred during the relocation process. It's important to familiarize yourself with our operating procedures in such instances.

If any damage occurs, we must be notified by the end of the move. We cannot accept responsibility or liability for subsequent claims made beyond this time frame.

We will discuss the following options with you:

  1. Repairing the damage as closely as possible to its original condition.

  2. Replacement of the damaged item if repair is not feasible.

  3. Compensation up to the pre-damage market value of the item, if repair or replacement is not possible.

Your understanding of these policies is appreciated as we aim to resolve any issues that may arise in a fair and transparent manner."

11.A - Exceptions

We are committed to covering any physical damage resulting from dropping, mishandling, or inadequately securing items by our team, with the exception of the following circumstances:

  1. Items such as televisions not packed in their original box, computer equipment, photocopiers, scientific instruments, musical instruments not in hard cases, architectural models, and sculptural artwork.

  2. Pieces of glass not properly wrapped or packed, including picture glass and table tops.

  3. Stone materials, including marble, granite, composite, or similar items. While we will attempt to move these items safely, we do not provide coverage due to their inherent fragility.

  4. Furniture designed to be flat-packed or made of pressed wood, such as IKEA or Fantastic Furniture items. These items are susceptible to damage regardless of our careful handling. We recommend disassembling them before moving to mitigate risks.

  5. Customers utilizing mobile storage containers (e.g., PODS, Taxiboxes, GoBox). We do not cover any items packed into these containers under any circumstances.

Additionally, we do not cover internal faults of items that were properly secured in the vehicle and were not mishandled by our team. We appreciate your understanding of these limitations as we strive to provide transparent and reliable services.

11.B - Repairs & Compensations

Our repairers are highly regarded in their respective fields. In the event that your goods are damaged and require repair, rest assured that we will endeavor to restore them as closely as possible to their original condition.

However, it's important to note that we do not provide compensation for any consequential loss or loss of value. When offering a replacement or compensation, please understand that this is not a 'new for old' service. The valuation will consider factors such as the item's age, depreciation, and wear and tear.

Should there be any dispute regarding the valuation of an item, an independent assessment will be conducted to ensure fairness and transparency. We appreciate your understanding of these policies as we aim to provide the best possible resolution for any damages incurred.

12. Insurance

We are not experts in insurance arrangements and therefore do not hold qualifications or act as an Australian Financial Services Licensee. It is your responsibility to arrange insurance for your goods or property. We recommend consulting your own insurers to arrange appropriate cover. If this is not feasible, we suggest contacting mainstream insurers specializing in Cargo, Marine, or Goods in Transit insurance.

This version effectively communicates that the responsibility for insurance arrangements lies with the customer and provides guidance on potential avenues for obtaining coverage.
